It was a long day. A hard day. Oglethorpe had just finished his eighteen hour shift at the coal mines and had just returned home to sip whiskey and sit by the fire. His loving wife, Jemima, massaged his feet, lovingly, as he drank himself into a bitter stupor and reminisced about the days when he was free to wander about the dark alleys of Buffalo, wondering where the next hit would come from. Jemima soothed him in the way that only a woman can: by making him a sandwich.

BAM. His fist was as cold as his whiskey-drenched breath. This hadn’t been the first time Oglethorpe laid into Jemima while she was making sandwiches. Their syrup company wasn’t doing so well, and Oglethorpe never liked sandwiches with his whiskey. Nothing riles a woodsman like poverty, whiskey and sandwiches. Jemima wouldn’t suffer long, because not 2 seconds later a large oak tree pummeled the couple’s home. The once serene backdrop of the lumber home with light smoke easing its way up and out the chimney was replaced with the backdrop of catastrophe.

Agent Pickens had never seen such a senseless tragedy. Jemima’s tortured corpse hung from several places around the shattered frame. The force of the felled tree punctured the gas line and threw Jemima in four different directions. Pickens investigated the smoldering mess, but Oglethorpe was just a small bit of ooze underneath the charred oak. RRRRRRRRRRRRR went the chainsaw outside. Sheriff Mitte was sitting on the Oak’s shaved stump brandishing the chainsaw like a crazy rodeo cowboy. The boys found this in the woods behind the house called Mitte over the whirr. Yee haw he cackled.

Knowledge is power, everyone.
I just got my new Plantronics Explorer 340 Bluetooth headset. I am officially “That Guy.” You know the one, walking around in public seemingly talking to himself. Oh yeah.
Some updates:
Messed with some colors and spacing. Made the site a bit more accessible. You come there for the welts, right? Not the design (which needs some work, admittedly!).
Added ‘Report this Photo’ feature. Seamlessly reports a photo and returns you back to the voting page.
Updated code here and there. Nothing major.
It doesn’t seem like much […]
Tonight I’ll be resuming work on RMW. I’ve been ridiculously busy with other websites lately, and kindof burnt myself out. I need to start working on something fun and interesting again!
Here are my priorities:
Increase Usability and Tweak Site Design
Report Image Feature
Comment System
Extend User Profiles
Add User Galleries
That’ll keep me busy for awhile, I’m sure.
If any of […]
I just saw this new game on steam and I’m thinking about buying it. the description made me chuckle:
Avoid deadly traps, solve puzzles to unravel your past, and even devour the faces of your slaves for sustenance towards your ultimate goal of freedom.
Hah, that’s not ironic, is it?
Today I finished setting up the demo store. This is an example of how you can integrate an e-Commerce system within WordPress using an existing theme. I have tried it with a number of themes, and while some require some additional tweaking, the store works well with all of them.
Right now, the site is set […]
Erm, ok. My bad. Had a few screwups with the site, I’m sorry. Things I’ve fixed:
Voting now works properly.
Main page is no longer wonky in IE.
Fixed some of the Control Panel issues in IE.
You must now agree to the terms and conditions with each upload. There’s a human-readable version for everyone who doesn’t speak Legalese.
Miscellaneous […]
Well I’ve finally released Rate My Welt into the wild!
The premise is simple: you are given a photo of a paintball welt to vote on a scale from 1 to 10 (1 low, 10 high). The vote is then added to a total which is divided by the total number of votes. Once you vote, […]
